Vergina is the modern village that now stands on the site of the ancient Macedonian city of Aigai.
In addition to King Philip II’s tomb, you can also visit three other royal tombs displayed in the Royal Tomb Museum of Vergina. The museum is built within a reconstructed tumulus (mound), the original burial site of these tombs. It showcases beautiful treasures unearthed from the tombs, making it one of the most important historical destinations in Macedonia.
